Sprout Family Services (Sprout) is proud to announce that Jonathan McGhee has accepted the position of Executive Director. Mr. McGhee was chosen from a field of qualified applicants to join Sprout in their mission of promoting the healthy development of children in partnership with families and community.
Mr. McGhee joins Sprout with over 28 years of experience in the human services field, not only in the United States, but in 10 other countries as well. During his more than 22 years in nonprofit leadership, he pioneered and led two non-profits, one in the U.S. and one in the Philippines, and developed the first IPS supported employment program in the State of Alaska.
“The board is so excited to welcome Jon as our new Executive Director,” says Board Chair Morgan Dwyer. “He has been helping families and leading human service programs in the United States and abroad for many years and we believe he will be a confident and knowledgeable leader. Jon will continue the good work Sprout does and strengthen our organization’s infrastructure to allow for future growth.”
“What I’m most excited about is leading a dynamic organization that has been both influential and life changing in our community,” Mr. McGhee states. “My goal is to be able to continue those services and possibly more for the years still yet to come.”
Mr. McGhee has been serving at South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services since 2017, most recently as the Adult Rehab Program Manager and IPS Consultant-Trainer. Previously, he was the Executive Director of Resources for the Blind International, Inc., and developed an early intervention preschool for visually impaired children.
